Advocating access to public lands carries a responsibility to be part of the solution for managing the lands. As a strong proponent for participation to make a difference, John Stewart has moved from working in the public sector to being a full time advocate for recreation.
As a Natural Resources Consultant working from his home base in San Diego, California, John represents California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs interests before local, state, and federal recreation and land management agencies.
In 2002, John was selected as Director of Environmental Affairs for United Four Wheel Drive Associations and assumed responsibility for assisting member clubs and associations with their interactions with public land managers and elected officials.
