Northeast Jeep Donates $700 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
On Saturday Nov. 12, 2016, Northeast Jeep Org., a Connecticut based Jeep Enthusiasts club, held their Annual Meeting and Meet and Greet. In addition to collecting supplies to be be donated to the Veterans Hospital, they raised $700 through their 50/50 raffle that will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. ”This was made possible greatly in part by one of our members, Jeremy Downs, who donated his half of the winnings back so it could be donated to CFF . That act shows how special supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to Northeast Jeep because this terrible disease directly affects a special little girl in our club.” said Rey Rasco, President of Northeast Jeep Org. Jim Daniels, who is also a member of the Northeast Jeep Board of Directors said, “Ryanne, our four online casino julietta year old daughter, is one of over 30,000 people in the US alone waging war on the symptoms associated with this disease. The CFF’s research is not federally funded so all donations received are made by Corporations or by the public. Ryanne and countless others will continue to fight CF while donations, like the most recent one made by Northeast Jeep Organization, will get all our fighters closer to a cure.
Thank You, Jim, Kari, and most especially, Ryanne Daniels”
“Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. In people with CF, a defective gene causes a thick, buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas and other organs. In the lungs, the mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria leading to infections, extensive lung damage and eventually, respiratory failure. In the pancreas, the mucus prevents the release of digestive enzymes that allow the body to break down food and absorb vital nutrients.” This is a quote from the CFF(Cystic Fibrosis Foundation) website in describing what CF(Cystic Fibrosis) is. To simplify, it is a physical assault on both the airways and digestive system of someone living with CF. www.cff.org/
